My name is Doug Weaver and I am a painter.
I have created this blog to talk about what it really is to be an artist. As a very visual thinker it can sometimes be difficult for me to express myself in words, but I want to try. My purpose is to outline my creative process by posting images and breaking them down into the ideas and inspiration behind them. Also, I would be happy to answer any questions you may have about art and about me.

Oh—and a quick note. I noticed the tags/categories on one of your posts and was reminded of something useful another blogger taught me about WordPress, but not until I’d been blogging daily for over three years: keep your total of those identifiers to under 12 if you want your posts to show up in the WP daily feeds or other spots. Maybe you’re not as clueless about blogging as I was (am!), but just in case!
